The Government of Canada has an enormous amount of content available on the Web. In order to begin to offer a ScoreCard on the CLF progress made so far, it is not practical to wait until a complete test of all pages has been accomplished. Accordingly, the approach NetCentric has taken is to sequentially test 200-page bites of each department's principal website and build up a progressively more inclusive test of the site over time.
Our current ScoreCard is based on the first 600-page slice of the principal website of all 95 departments subject to the CLF policy. We will periodically update the ScoreCard with additional 200-page slices. In taking a fresh cut of the Government's holdings, we check for new or changed pages within previous slices. New material is re-verified so that scores are accurate at the time of latest testing, for all pages previously tested.
