NetCentric Technologies, the leading provider of solutions for PDF and section 508 compliance, has announced the release of version 3.0 of its CommonLook Section 508 product for Adobe® Acrobat®.
CommonLook helps government agencies, educational institutions and corporations ensure their PDF documents comply with Section 508 (29 U.S.C. 794d) of the Rehabilitation Act.
Version 3.0 of CommonLook brings a number of major enhancements that make the product simpler and more usable by PDF authors, including a 'Merged Views' mode which allows simultaneous remediation of the Content Order and Tags Views. Version 3.0 also features a number of new time and labor-saving features dealing with tables, abbreviations and the automatic correction of some of the most commonly occurring and time-consuming PDF tagging problems.
"Release 3.0 of CommonLook significantly raises the bar" said Monir ElRayes, NetCentric's President. "It makes PDF accessibility as simple as HTML accessibility and makes the product highly usable by PDF authors". He added "Our 3.0 beta customers have been greatly pleased by these advancements. In designing the new features, we have relied heavily on feedback from our customer base and on our extensive experience in providing Section 508 and accessibility remediation services"
