StealthPrint

StealthPrint (patent pending) is a unique steganographic software for storing and reading hidden machine-readable information within the graphic content of a document.

Using StealthPrint, documents can be protected by embedding hidden machine-readable information such as a person’s name or photograph. This can be used to authenticate the document, or support a variety of other applications, including PKI.

Features and Benefits

  • Virtually no visual impact on the printed document;
  • Highly resistant to aging and deterioration in the condition of the document;
  • Data is stored redundantly in optimized locations to maximize machine readability and detect reading errors;
  • Highly resistant to tilting when the document is positioned on a scanner;
  • Works with most types of printers and scanners;
  • Seamlessly integrates into the issuance process;
  • Adds minimal cost, time and infrastructure to the issuance process; and
  • Integrates with most other types of security features.

Possible Applications

The possible applications of StealthPrint include all types of printed documents where embedding and retrieving hidden information can contribute to the security of the document or meet other business requirements. Some of the possible applications include:

  • Passports, ID cards, driver’s licenses;
  • Label and brand protection;
  • Checks;
  • Currency;
  • Lottery tickets;
  • Access cards;
  • As a means of storing certificates, or other authentication information, within a PKI system;
  • Import/export permits; and
  • Anti-forgery applications.
